WHITE BEAN BURGERS

WHITE BEAN BURGERS

Looking for a good dose of a plant-based protein? These white bean burgers are sure to become a favourite!

 

Ingredients:

· 1 medium carrot

· 1 leek

· 1 medium red onion

· Mushrooms

· 2 cloves Cal Valls black garlic

· 350 g Cal Valls white beans (small jar)

· 1/2 cup oats

· Fresh parsley

· Salt, pepper and spices to taste

 

Preparation:

 

  1. Chop the leek, red onion, garlic and mushrooms. Sauté them in a pan with a drizzle of oil, seasoning with salt, pepper and your favourite spices.

 

  1. Grate the carrot. When the vegetables are nearly cooked, add the carrot and the white beans to the pan and cook for a few more minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

 

  1. In a bowl, grind ¼ cup of oats into a fine flour.

 

  1. Add the cooked vegetable mixture to the bowl with the oat flour and blend until well combined.

 

  1. Transfer the mixture to a large dish and stir in the remaining whole oats and a little chopped parsley.

 

  1. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for a couple of hours to achieve the desired consistency.

 

  1. Using your hands, shape portions into burger patties. You should get about 8 units.

 

  1. Heat some oil in a pan and cook the burgers.
